Anyone who has tried to take photos or videos in low light environments using a smartphone knows that it doesn’t work too well. Light is important in all photography, and especially so for the smaller devices. The Lume Cube wants to change that, by giving you a 1,5″ cube that packs 1,500 Lumens. And if that’s not enough light for you, just add additional ones – you can use up to five at once.

As almost all cool gadgets today, the Lume Cube connects to an app where you can control when the device should trigger, how strong the light should be, and so forth. The need for such a device is great, because our mobile devices are replacing dedicated cameras. So why did the guys behind Lume Cube create the device?

All great photography has one thing in common: exceptional lighting. iPhone, Android and GoPro® have done a brilliant job of making photography and videography more accessible, but they’re limited by low-light and nighttime scenarios.

We thought, “Why can’t we use these devices as we would our professional camera equipment?” We wanted to make a miniature light that would be the most powerful, versatile and useful the world has ever seen. Thus the Lume Cube was born.

How many Lume Cubes do you want? That’s the big question when you’re lining up to back this project. We fancy the big accessory pack.

Favorite perk ($219)

You asked for a kit with all the accessories…we bring you the “Whole Enchilada”. Backers will receive an assortment of gear to outfit your Lume Cubes.
