Bracket is a clever little piece of aluminum that connects all the necessary cables to your retina MacBook Pro. You can use Apple’s standard cables, or order your Bracket with custom cables. This is something for those of you who aren’t docked in at all times, and thus find your cable swapping to be a nuisance.
The team behind Bracket is from Denmark, which is also why the campaign goal is in the Danish currency. 250,000 DKK is about $42,000 or €34,000, in case you were wondering.
Here’s a few words about the aluminum, since Apple fans tend to enjoy that:
Bracket is precision CNC-machined from a single block of 6061-T6 A-Grade aluminium. 6061 aluminium was chosen due to its high tensile strength and durability. The precision of the machining is 0.1mm – less than the thickness of a sheet of copy paper. The aluminium is bead blasted and anodized, and finally, the Bracket logo is engraved using a high power laser.
You’ll obviously want a Bracket with your pledge, but then it gets harder to decide. Do you want the cable pack or not, and do you feel like a visit to Denmark?
